Re: MHEARD List

Alan
Your nearest node GB7ELE is on 950

Are you sure you've ever decoded any signals? Do you see them in the qttermtcp monitor window?

Ssvemh command at the node will save mh for a restart.
You can put this in cfg to auto save on clean exit and I think it now saves periodically too

savemh=1

Ok, that's a start. Hearing something means that there are others transmitting on the same frequency you are listening to. ?Make sure you are listening on a common frequency for your area for the mode you are using. Look at RMS gateways that may be in your area for the frequency if you are not sure.
?
I don't know linbpq, but is there a monitor where you can SEE the traffic that you hear on VHF?? To know for sure your VHF port is decoding traffic you MUST be able to SEE the traffic. Not just hear it.?
If there is nothing else, you could use your http interface to your node, open a terminal, then use the LIS 1 command to monitor that port.

OK, Alan. Running out of ideas.

If you like you could send me your config and I'll try running it here.

That is monitoring port 11.

Have you got PORTNUM=11 instead of PORTNUM=1 in config?

if so, try MH 11

Do other commands (eg ports) work?

If you do MH with an invalid port do you get an error message?
