Re: BPQ32 config question
OK maybe that is it, I want to broadcast my nodes on my 2 RF ports, both ASYN and Kiss..... I see others doing it with BPQ nodes on my RF links Bob

Ping/Poll possibility?
I am wondering if there would be anyway to add a command to BPQ that would allow you to "Ping" or "Poll" to see what stations on RF are hearing you.
The way I see it is: PING # where # is the port number.
?
Stations that hear the "ping" and have a port config flag:
?
PING_RESP = TRUE
?
set would then send their beacon.
?
The purpose of this would be to allow packet users to hear connectable stations without waiting however long for the beacon to show up.

Re: BPQ32 config question
A couple of things..
?
Att he end of a MAP line be sure thers is a B.? That will broadcast the node information to this connection.
?
Besure you have BROADCAST NODES in your AXIP port configuration.? (Or other port you have netrom connections on)
?
Finally, be sure you have an alias for your node and each defined application in the APPLICATION lines.

I don't really have an answer for the RTL error, but I connected to your node to try and get a better understanding of your routes, connections, etc...
?
In one of the other two messages of the same topic you mentioned an error that says he is not defined as a node and then disconnected.
?
When I looked at your routes it did not list VE2YAG as a route. In the other topic you said he was in your routes list.
?
Then I looked at your ports and it looks like you have each of your connections, and several others, each having their own port.

I don't see VE2YAG in your route list. Also, the Quality for the routes seems way off to me.? These suggests you are doing something way over my head with your node. Yours is the first I have seen with one connection per port, and with qualities so high.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe routing trace from the BBS log file should show what routing decisions the BBS made. If you can't see anything send me a copy and I'll have a look.73, John On 15/02/2021 22:52, Carmine Prestia

Re: linbpq64 forwarding problems personal messages.
By not forwarding a message BPQ is telling you that it cannot find a route to the recipient.
?
If you created the message in both cases and the values are as you say then it is a situation that cannot happen. We've all been there...
?
But, If the messages were just passing through your BBS then look at the R lines in the messages to see from which BBS you received the messages. Particularly if you received one of the message from the BBS of the addressee.? Your BBS will not send the message back to the same BBS from which you received it, and if it is your only route to that person then BPQ has no other place to send it.? If that is the case then it would indicate a mis-configuration of his BBS, not yours.
?
One possibility is that your BBS received a message for that station and forwarded it to him.
He received another message addressed to him from someone else' BBS, and his BBS sent it to you even though it was addressed to him. Again, a mis=configuration of his BBS, not yours.
?
?
Yes, the log will probably help if you still have them.

linbpq64 forwarding problems personal messages.
The problem is that personal messages to the same destination are not always forwarded. One is forwarded and the other not and
all have exactly the address. I tried several version of linbpq64, from those released in August to the last one of December with the same negative result. The effected message is not always put in the queue ready to be forwarded with the next forwarding cycle. I can only force it by putting it in the queue (yellow) for that particular forwarding partner and in that case it is delivered. With other words, they are not always put in the queue. Remember, they have all the same destination address. What is causing this behaviour? Bob (Boudewijn) VE3TOK -- There is nothing permanent except change -Heraclitus |

Apple provides a translator between Intel-based code and Apple Silicon. It is hidden from you but "just works'. It is much like Rosetta, in the olden days, when Apple switched from Motorola to Intel CPU.
