Re: INTERLOCK and Beacons
Yes, all my ports have INTERLOCK command. I just wanted to know if it would interrupt the Beacon when another port is being used. I'll be more relaxed. Thanks. :-) Em s¨¢b., 12 de out. de 2024, 10:38,

Re: IDMSG only in Port 1
My guess is that you are using the UZ7HO driver in BPQ. My observation is that the ID is sent only to KISS ports (and perhaps AXIP/UDP - not sure about those). If you change to use KISS to communicate

Re: INTERLOCK and Beacons
INTERLOCK will halt all activity on all ports that have the INTERLOCK of the same value, except for the port in use, of course.? So, is the AX25 beacon you are referring to a port with the INTERLOCK

Re: INTERLOCK and Beacons
Thanks, Mark. My concern is when some user is using the ARDOP port, for example, the INTERLOCK is able to pause the AX25 Beacon. Em s¨¢b., 12 de out. de 2024, 09:40, Mark Taylor via groups.io

Re: IDMSG only in Port 1
Hello Mark. The radio transmitts fine all beacons and messages sent to UZ7HO soundmodem. Only IDMSG is not sent to soundmodem. Only Loopback port send IDMSG. Think than i need any command to send

Re: IDMSG only in Port 1
Let's see... UNPROTO controls the path of the BTEXT message, but as long as you have a value for IDMSG the only reason I can think of is that you radio squelch setting is not allowing BPQ to sense a

Re: INTERLOCK and Beacons
I don't believe they have anything to do with each other. Interlock identifies a shared radio between ports i.e. one HF radio doing both pactor and Vara, for instance. Beacons are controlled by

IDMSG only in Port 1
Hi folks. Why IDMSG is broadcast only in Port 1 (Loopback)? How to make IDMSG broadcast on my RF AX25 Port 2? TIA

John, In North Carolina we have a network of a couple of dozen stations made with surplus commercial 2-way radios and $45 USB KISS NinoTNCs. Each station has a Raspberry PI G8BPQ node and 2 or 3

As a BPQ32 Sysop/Windows 7 my node runs Kantronics 3+ in KISS mode. I love the ability to attach external hardware to the computer instead of using the internal sound card. As a member of

Re: BPQ and What Modem?
I'm a believer in hardware, too.? I like knowing I can turn it on and just have it work.? Soundcard modems have always been too much of a pain for me. NinoTNC is probably the best option today.?

Re: BPQ and What Modem?
Ok, I¡¯m a bit of a hardware guy, but for 1200/9600 packet, a Kantronics KPC 3 or KPC 9612 modems are bulletproof, easy to setup (kiss) solutions. 73 Jim KI0BK

Re: BPQ and What Modem?
For packet, I only use Kantronics hardware TNC's.?? For soundcard modes like Vara, Ardop, etc. I use Signalinks.? They seem to me to better withstand wayward RF in the shack due to all the cables

Re: BPQ and What Modem?
that combination will work just fine. the only caveat is the signal link audio transformers. i have no experience with signalinks past the sl1 but i'm sure you're aware of the 'newer' transformers
