HIDENODES only stop the display of nodes with an alias starting with
# in the NODES display.
NODE=0 disables the node functions and only allows connects to your
applications. The NODECALL is ignored and the first Application
callsign is used.

Never mind - I figured it out.? SIMPLE already included the
NODE and HIDENODES settings and my configuration reversed them.?
I guess HIDENODES hides the subject node as well :)
