X3 Flare observations 9 Feb
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe SID resulting from a X3.3 X-ray flare peaking at about? 13:14
UT was observed here on the Isle of Mull, particularly well seen
on signals from DHO on 23.4 kHz. Effects also seen with the other
stations monitored. No significant difference seen in either muon
or total particle counts from my pair of CW detectors. Above, DHO Signal strength, Gyrator Rx (red), Muon count rate(orange, 0-50 cpm) , Total count rate (Blue 0-250cpm)
DHO monitored with Paul Nicholson's VLF tools, EE-MU 0202 USB
sound card. Both receivers use a common E-field antenna. Interestingly my magnetometer also showed a deviation of -10nT in Bx and -8nT in By, but no clear effect on Bz.
