Perhaps someone on the list can help out and fabricate one reasonably?

When I purchased the AA/Craftsman lathe it had a bent spindle. I
was
working at Gates at the time as the plant electrician and had access to
the plant machine shop. I made a new shaft with a spindle nose threaded
1" x 10 for a Craftsman 4" 3 jaw chuck I had. Obviously, I later tried
too heavy of a cut and bent that shaft. Since Sherline has both 3 and 4
jaw chucks with 1/2" x 20 thread available, I'm looking for a serviceable
shaft to get the lathe working again.
