ok a little bit of progress..? I discovered that the big stud (10-112) at the bottom of the whole motor and counter shaft carrier the outer nut was about 1/4" away from the frame allowing the whole thing to move. That has been tightened so it is against the frame where the frame seems to want to sit. ?

I put the motor on the mount with no belt and there is very slight vibration in the bed of the lathe but im sure some rubber feet will sort that.? Next i was going to just put the belt from the motor to the counter shaft however tightening that bottom bolt has moved the motor position and the belt is looser than a hookers knickers so new belt needed again before i can move on to the next bit but progress made. ? ?
