??? Thanks Raymond . I need to look at my first one to see what
the filter material was . I know one of the compressors I had used
a felt like material , don't remember if this one did or not .

Those air compressors are dry and have no oil reservoir. The
only oil used would be during assembly a light coat would have
been applied to the moving parts. If the filer material is
missing from the intake it will be very noisy and will be
drawing in potentially damaging dust.
