You replace the entire bumper with a steel plate one. The crane extends up about 7 or so feet. There is nothing wobbly about it.?

No idea of price, but for sure more than the harbor freight toy.

I have that same crane in my truck, it bent the bed so I beefed up the bed area but it was still a bit wobbly. So I welded a pivot to the top of the crane with a bracket that goes to a beefed up top of bed rail. If you can set up something similar that opposes the direction(s) of pull, like braces or cables that may solve the leverage issue.
