I have been using Nu T Link belt on my 12 X 24 Atlas Craftsman 101.07403 lathe for the last 20 years at least.? I use this lathe several times a week in my pump repair work.

I have found that the direction of the links is very important to their power transmission ability.? With the belt arranged so the highest part of each link is toward the countershaft and the lowest portion of each link toward the headstock pulley gives the best results. ?

I would also say these belts need time to run in before they perform at their best.

Please let us know how your belt has its links arranged, and if not installed as described above, try swapping around and let us know if thats any better.
