A lot of modern machines have nylon gears and they work for years. Not sure you can print nylon. I don't have much experience with 3d printing other than finding out that a 0.65 nozzle makes for coarse parts. 0.35 nozzle yields nicer results.?

I actually have a fairly decent 3d printer so printing them out wont be an issue, but thanks for the advice on where to go to have one modeled. If I have to go that route, I would probably print them just to get it running and eventually have one machined
out of alumimun. This part drive the entire lathe and I am not entirely convinced that even a part printed in CF PA6/PA12 would hold up to long but on the other hand if the printed gear fails it likely wont take any other gears with it.?
