Then you probably need a 15/64th . Good luck finding one at the usual sources. I tried to find one online, and no joy.?
You could try spending some quality time with a belt sander and a 1/4" hex key.
If the chuck is old, as you say, the socket may just be worn. Wrap a bit of foil around the key, and see if that feels better. It will give you an idea how much metal to remove if you modify a larger key, and may be enough to solve your problem.?
