Hi Tony,?
As a couple other guys
mentioned, wheel selection is important as well as dressing as
needed.?
AlOx works fine, I? use a 36g
on the left and either 60 or 80 on the right. A dressing stick
works good both for truing and restoring a nice flat face. The
star wheel dressers are good for "opening" up a wheel but
that's about it.?
I did just pick up a CBN
wheel from Shars for my carbide grinder, already had a diamond
wheel for the other side.?
Here's a pic of the diamond
wheels former home.?
What size grinder do you
have?
I like to use the smallest
tool bit that will do the job, at home it's mostly 1/4" or
3/8", less to grind.?

Subject: [atlas-craftsman IO] new cutting tools
I hate to shape a new cutting tool since there is so much material
to grind away. I would like you forum members to tell me which
wheel you use or which is the most aggressive. My old cutters are
ground for my lantern tool post a couple are still usable but most
need to be deep sixed.
