Ken? This compound that was mentioned is used for laping engine valves i have some out on the shop it has 2 diverant grits in the can. The idea is not good the compound will not remove big nicks. I would just use a tool post grinder and be done with it

That is the main reason I come here. I had never heard of "cover compound" and was unable to find any information or other references on "cover compound".
