wafer fabrication/photolithography in Michigan?
Seeing if the A2B3 hivemind can help with this question from an acquaintance who has been advocating?for safe water in Silicon Valley for decades and tackling dioxane and PFAS groundwater contamination there and elsewhere: "Are you aware of any companies in MIchigan that actually do?wafer fabrication/photolithography?there?" --Roger-- Roger Rayle |

Videos I mentioned at lunch yesterday
Here are links to the videos I mentioned during lunch yesterday.
First, two videos about creating images using AI. Both are particulary focused on how AI can be used to create images that can look like different things when mutated in some way, including turning upside down, rearranging squares in the image, overlaying several transparent images, and creating a puzzle that can be assembled two different ways to produce two different images. I suggest watching them in the order below: Steve Mould: This new type of illusion is really hard to make: Stand-up Maths: How can a jigsaw have two distinct solutions?: I also briefly mentioned this video about the discovery and categorization of (all) the noble gases by William Ramsay together with lord Rayleigh for which he won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1904. Rayleigh received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1904 for his part in the work. Chemistorian: The Incredible Discovery of the LEAST Reactive Elements (The Noble Gases): =Spencer |

Re: looking forward to lunch today at Dalat
8 for lunch, prices very reasonable ($10-$12 for the
lunch special), looks like a good place to go back to. I will note that the messages in this group have crossed the 13000 mark, the one I'm replying to is #13550 . On Wed, Sep 18, 2024 at 11:10?AM Edward Vielmetti via groups.io <edward.vielmetti@...> wrote:

Re: Bike for a visitor
Annie - Common Cycle would be where I would go to first, they
regularly have both bikes for sale and for free through partners plus a very nifty co-op bike repair program on Sundays at their shop On Tue, Sep 17, 2024 at 11:46?AM Annie via groups.io <annie@...> wrote:

Bike for a visitor
Hi-
?
An 18-year-old visitor from Israel is giving a year of service here in Ann Arbor, before his mandatory service in the Israeli army. He's kind of an amazing young man. One of his passions is mountain biking (he has raced) and he's looking for a good bike.?
?
If any of you know of a good bike in good condition bike that you might donate (for the year) or he could purchase, that would be terrific.
?
He's a size medium / 155-165 cm. I think he's looking for 29" wheels, but this is not a must. Please let me know!

presidential debate bingo
Sorry this is so late. Started to send it earlier, and got sidetracked. NPR and the League of Women Voters are both offering
bingo cards to use while watching (or listening to) tonight's
presidential debate. NPR generates different cards by clicking on [New Card] LWV just offers three cards on the page !? Might make it a bit more entertaining, for those who plan to play along. Jennifer Dye 734-709-8502 |
