organization that collects used eclipse glasses

I heard about this program last night. It makes me feel better about using 'disposable' glasses.?

I plan to have a bin labelled for recycling them, and will gladly collect any that you want to send to me. I'll send them on when they are ready¡ªit sounds like they are just ramping the program up.

Feel free to spread the word in your various communities.

I should be able to pick them up in Ann Arbor or Detroit, or in some places in between.

request for volunteers, and people who want items repaired, for Repair °ä²¹´Ú¨¦ April 20

Belatedly getting this out. Let other (virtual) fires take precedence.

I tried working with Repair °ä²¹´Ú¨¦'s template, and after working on it for too long, realized that it doesn't include basic information that a flyer should. I'll create a new one, but as I am overdue on asking for volunteers, I thought I should send this out, along with these notes.

Last fall I sent out an alert that I would be looking for volunteers to repair items brought in by individuals, at a Repair °ä²¹´Ú¨¦ at my library branch. Date wasn't set, nor were other details. I promised more later. I thought that 'later' would be before the end of February.

Our inaugural event is set for Saturday, April 20, from noon to 4:00. Ideally a volunteer would repair items in their selected category for two shifts of about an hour each. No specific time commitment is required. And volunteers would be welcome to bring in items for others to repair.

While the 'flyer' didn't allow for data that a volunteer would want to know, it did have insertion points for the data that the designers thought relevant, helpfully highlighted in yellow. I had left the yellow highlighting so that I could go back and check what I had added, before I realized that I needed to add a lot more outside the insertion points. And then found that Word tools wouldn't removed the yellow highlighting.

As I should have left work at 2:00, I'm not going to try to fix the 'flyer'. I will create another flyer from scratch, and get it out early next week. In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering for this inaugural program or for a later one, or would like to learn more, please get in touch with me. You are welcome to use this email address, or the Knapp Branch contacts in the flyer.

Here's the EventBrite link for another explanation:?

Wish I could make it but I have a monthly meeting this week smack-dab

If I were there I would talk about my trip to Paris (bicycles
everywhere). Hoping to make another one soon.
