They shipped cheap using something called “SmartPost,” where my order would?go in a circle around FedEx hubs and then at some point be released to the local USPS. More recently I ordered a case for my Steam Deck from dbrand last week, that started out in Mississauga, ON, then went to Depew, NY; York, PA; Glendale Heights, IL; and is now in Detroit. I think it’s supposed to arrive today. It’s like a lot of people with particular skills say: Cheap, quality, on time — you can’t have all three but you can usually pick two. It took 5 days to make it from there to Detroit and the tracking gave contradictory info about what day it actually left Indianapolis (which might mean it was put on a truck but then returned to Indianapolis at least once before finally being sent to Detroit). An extra 5 days is nothing compared to times in 2020 and 2021 when the USPS had a few sites that were black holes where packages arrived only to sit in a trailer in their parking lot for a few months before escaping.
