The AHA shop was pretty busy yesterday! I saw these
repairs in progress:
a kids shoe (could have used some Shoe Goo in stock)
an electric lawnmower whose blade was not spinning
a sewing machine with some kind of lubrication issue
a circuit board where some solder pads had pulled loose
my bike, to which I'm adding a cargo rack antenna/flag mount
and I think there was even more going on than that.
I joined AHA as a member beginning of the year, still
trying to work it into my routine but it's fun to be around
that crowd. Dan, for my part I'd love to have a full set of
radio shop repair and configuration tools there; I dropped off
a spare Baofeng/Quansheng programming cable as a start.

I keep threatening to head down there on a Thursday. Do they get many people bringing in things that need to be fixed?

¡°Repairsday¡± offers free help fixing broken items: Every Thursday,
members of All Hands Active hang out in the basement of 255 E. Liberty
Suite 225 from 6 to 8 p.m. to try to repair or repurpose electronics,
furniture, toys, and other things brought in by the public The
tinkerers in the organization can¡¯t promise they¡¯ll succeed in fixing
things, but they¡¯ll try. The sessions are livestreamed here.
I was in the AHA shop yesterday (Thursday) to work on the mount for
the ham radio HF or VHF antenna mount and/or flagpole mount for my
bicycle.
