I just wanted to let you that Facebook deleted my account last weekend. The stated cause is that I am supposedly misrepresenting myself under a false identity. I appealed, and they denied the appeal.? ? As I've been talking with other people, I've been informed that people who post Jewish activist content or content in support of Israel are disproportionately having their FB accounts deleted. I don't have data, and I don't know if it's true. Coincidentally, my last two actions prior to account deletion were: 1) sharing someone else's post about the history of the song "Strange Fruit" having been written by a Jewish activist;? 2) resetting my profile pic to a photo of me taking the aliyah at Temple the day before, in kippah, tallit, and magen.?? ?
