This last weekend I was at a model train swap meet and found and bought a
September 1967 catalog. It lists a #2323 PROFAX GAS car, this number was
used by 1969 for the GULF car. Was there ever a PROFAX GAS car?
The #2322 car for Hercules is listed and so is #2321 Shippers Car Line.
It also list Jumbo Tank Cars; #2246 Shippers Car Line (which they did
release), #2347 Burlington and #2348 C&NW. I do not think that the latter two
road names ever came out!

The Hercules and Pro-Fax cars are actually one-in-the-same as the Hercules
car says "Hi-Fax Pro-Fax" on it. That is kind of a misprint in that
catalog. The 1967-68 color catalog correctly lists the three cars released - 2321
- Shippers Car Line, 2322 - Hercules, and 2323 - Gulf.
You are correct about the jumbo tank cars, at least as far as Atlas is
concerned. Other importers may have had those road names. The three Atlas cars
are: 2346 - Shippers Car Line, 2347 - Suburban Propane Gas, 2348 - Warren.
I those early N scale days, the importers were quick to release their
catalogs to get the jump on the competition and did not always have confirmed
product listed.
