November Meeting 3
We are having some issues with the toilet and the heater at the clubhouse. I did get the water system winterized today so we should not have to worry about water lines freezing. With that said it is going to leave me no choice but to move the meeting. I am going to check with the union library to see if it will be available for us. I will update tomorrow after I talk with the library. Thanks KF0MSJ

Trouble with the building
While I was working on winterizing the water lines at the school I came across something that was very concerning to me. The corner of the foundation of the school is busting out. The wall is already showing a bad stress crack. If we let this continue to go unfixed I'm afraid we will loose the building. I will include pictures of this damage that I took yesterday so everyone can see what I'm talking about. Just before the fall rendezvous that we hosted the furnace blower broke. And there is a problem with the toilet. Is there anyone willing to take on any of these projects?

Locked Rendezvous at Indian Prairie
The planning committee had there final meeting on Monday, October 2nd. The dates for this are from Friday, October 13th to Sunday morning October 15th. We will have a community fire on Friday and Saturday nights. Everyone is welcome to come out from Friday evening and stay till Sunday morning or if you just have a few hours to spend we would still love to see you come out and play radio with us. The better the turn-out the more fun it will be. We decided to only do 1 group meal and that will be Saturday's dinner. Pulled pork will be provided and Everyone will be asked to bring a side dish to pass. After the club meeting on Wednesday I will send out a side dish email. For planning purposes I am asking for a head count from all those that plan to be there for the Saturday meal. If you plan on camping. You are responsible for your own water, and electric. There are no hook ups at the school. There will be a porta pot there for those that chose to pitch a tent. You are also going to be responsible for your own refreshments, snacks, and meals on Friday, Saturday morning and Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast. As soon as I receive the flyer I will post that to everyone. For now please respond with the number of people in your party that plan to attend the Saturday dinner. Thanks Greg Ballard KFOMSJ

KD0ZEA Packet/Winlink is off-air #winlink
All, the KD0ZEA Packet/Winlink is off-air due to a malfunction with the signalink that put the radio in full transmit mode. The radio and signalink are now toast. Luckily we have a couple of spare radios on the shelf and expect to get the station back up and running tomorrow. We are replacing the signalink with a Digirig. I happened to have an alinco Digirig and cable on hand and testing of configurations are complete. Thanks for your patience. Jim K0JNR

September meeting 2
President Ballard, At your request, I removed some items from Indian Prairie today. There are still a few things that I will be back for. One thing that you want removed is the television. I donated the television for the specific purpose of watching weather broadcasts and any other news programs from public media, such as during club activation during a flood like we experienced years ago. I did not remove it today. Unlike your autocratic decision to condemn all of the batteries that we could have used during field day, or possible power failures, leave the television there until the next meeting. If the members want it removed, I will remove it. Unlike our conversation several mornings ago, when you advised me you were removing the batteries "because you were elected and in charge" and would not wait until the next meeting for discussion, leave the television until the membership decides. And yes, against your orders, I'm telling you. Respectfully, Ron N0YCX
