I reviewed the websites of the Sullivan and Pacific clubs, they do not display email addresses.? Neither even show home mailing addresses, so maybe we should also remove that column from ZBARC's online roster.? Sure you can still get that address by looking up a call sign on FCC's website, but some hackers may not know that so let's not make it easy for them.? Bruce (N0XNH) keeps the master copy of the roster.? I guess if anyone needs details like that they can ask Bruce for a copy.
Out of curiosity I searched Google for 'amateur radio club rosters' and did quickly find another roster containing email addresses.? I thought about contacting that club's president and passing on what we experienced but I'm just not sure.
Anyway, I hope none of our members fell victim to this attack.
