Scarlett gave Diego a nod. She then motioned toward the stairs and looked at the prince.?"Your grace," she said. "Please, come with me. I'll take you to the garage and we can get you into a safe vehicle." She turned back and looked at Diego again, "Don't be long. We'll need to get out of here as soon as possible."
(Vespasian/Diego) Diego gave Scarlett a small smile, "I will be fine. Go ahead and take the Prince to the safe house. He will know where to go as well as the driver. I will meet you all there as soon as I can." Vespasian looked at the wolf and wondered what he was up to, but didn't say anything. Instead he turned to Scarlett. "Yes, Ms. MacAleister, let's be off."

Somehow, the redheaded vampire felt more at ease when Diego was with them, despite his true nature, for after he left, she became slightly fearful of what might be ahead for she and Vespasian. Someone was gunning for the prince's head and Scarlett truly didn't want to be the vampire charged with his safety. If something happened, she would be an easy scapegoat, especially with Tempest lurking about somewhere -- possibly behind this entire plot. She also was not happy to be unarmed. She'd checked her weapons at the front door, but to go there now just to retrieve them would be dangerous, either from running into the would-be assassins or dealing with the possibly of daylight getting into the no longer safe building. Scarlett turned to Vespasian and nodded, then together they headed down into an underground passage which would take them to the parking garage where the van awaited them. They moved along the dimly lit concrete tunnel which travelled beneath the street outside the Midnight Society. If she had her bearings right, she remembered there was a private underground parking deck there. Apparently, this answered the question about who owned that facility.? ? Eventually they reached and door and stepped through, Scarlett going first to have a look around. Once she peeked out, she was a black delivery van parked there running in the underground portion of the parking ramp. The van was running, the door open, the windows otherwise darkened out. "Get in!" the man at the wheel called to them. "We need to hurry." The redhead looked toward the prince, "Are you ready to go?

(Vespasian) Without stopping to answer the other vampire, the Prince moved out from the door and using his vampiric speed, was in the van. He looked at Scarlett, "you have a choice here. To come with me or remain here." He told her, "but do make the decision quickly."

Scarlett The curvy, redheaded vampire looked back down the tunnel they had emerged from into the parking garage and considered what to do next. If she let the prince go by himself and something happened to him, she would likely be held responsible in some way.? If she went with him and this rebellion of vampires caught up with them, she would probably suffer the same fate as the prince. As much as she didn't want to be any more involved in this matter than she already was, Scarlett took a deep breath before stepping up into the back of the van with the blacked out windows. She decided to stay the course and see this through to whatever end it came to. Once inside she closed the van door and the wheel-man gunned the engine and took off heading out of the parking deck, a black panel rising between the rear compartment and the drivers area, confirming for her the driver was some kind of familiar -- a human servant of the Midnight Society, no doubt. Together she and Vespasian sat in the rear of the van as it sped away and she hoped they would be able to make it from here to wherever the safehouse was located. If the walls of the van were pierced somehow, the sunlight outside would kill both she and the prince. Looking over at Vespasian, who she could see clearly with her nightvision, Scarlett offered a faint smile at the prince she did not know and said, "I guess I'm with you. Can I ask where we're going?"

"To another safe house. Do you know anything about the attack? What of the prisoner I sent you to question?" He asked annoyed that this was happening.

She did not know what kind of prince he was, but vampire leaders were seldomly kind or understanding. She was concerned about what they would do, especially if they thought her to be involved in this plot somehow. "I did not catch any of the conversation, sire," Scarlett told him. Scarlett MacAleister Fool. She was astounded the prince was so naive to think Hollywood was not somehow involved. If she was so loyal, why hadn't she been sent to interrogate the prisoner. Why wasn't she here protecting her master now? The redhead was beginning to think she'd been set up. Maybe they wanted her to be a scapegoat for what had happened at the Midnight Society. She waited until the prince was out of the van and then stepped out, standing at her full six-foot height. Scarlett looked around at the group of vampires and then turned to Vespasian. "So, what now your highness?" she asked.

It had been years since they had been back here. Years since they had done this role. But the events of tonight had the powers that be do the only thing they could think to do. Call them out of retirement. Thus the investigation was on.
They had been briefed on the nature of what happened at the Midnight Society. Now they would have to talk to all the players to get the specifics which meant they would be working backwards. Starting with the last person then ending with the Prince.Based on their intel the last person who has been with the assailant was Scarlet MacAleister. Which meant the point or origin for their interrogation would be with her.?
They were familiar with Scarlett. Not just her file but the woman herself. It made them wonder if that’s why they were called in, because of their history with the players involved. It would seemed that they had some form of intimate personal knowledge with everyone involved. Which meant this was going to be interesting indeed.
Arriving at one of the known safe house for Scarlett they waked out the car and knocked on the door.

? ? Scarlett had awakened at dusk and left her sarcophagi feeling refreshed. She found the house empty, meaning Snow had likely already left for the evening and should have left her something to feed on. She found several pints of blood awaiting her in the kitchen. Snow had already allowed it to warm up and it made feeding tolerable.? ????It was difficult for Scarlett to take any enjoyment from feeding, when she did not feed on the living and had to rely on blood from a pouch. Try as hard as she might, she'd never been able to fully put aside the exhilaration and pure pleasure taken by a vampire who feeds on the living. It was difficult, but at the same time necessary if she were to maintain what she considered the "moral highground." Scarlett refused to become a monster like others of her kind...even if at times it was like pure torture.
? ? Finished with her meal, she showered and when she got out of the stall, she dried her lily-white body with a towel before selecting clothing from her wardrobe. She would be driving into town to see what was going on at the Midnight Society and to try and get to the bottom of what exactly went down the previous evening.
? ? No sooner had she laid out clothing than there was a knock at the door. The redhead turned and raised an eyebrow, before walking over to check the Ring door camera on her cellphone. When she brought up the image, whoever was standing there knew what they were doing, having moved so Scarlett could not see their face...just a dark shadow of a silhouette.? ? ? She frowned. There was only one place who could find her safehouses. It had to be someone from the Midnight Society. ”Miss MacAleister, we have been sent here to investigate the happenings from yesterday evening. Can we come in,” the sound of the echoey voice filled the space. It was as if two people were talking at once: one male and one female, ?but there appeared to be only one person standing there.?
“We are not here for violence so there is no need to bring any forward. We would like you to answer some question for us and then we could be on our way. Can we come in?”

Once they were in, she shut the door behind them and turned to see who or what had come through the doorway.

”Thank you,” The being standing in front of Scarlet said. Sure and study steps sounded as They walked in. When They turned to face her and removed Their cloak the most beautiful creature stood before her. Long black hair, piercing blue eyes. Tall, svelte. However it was impossible to really determine if the being before Scartlet was male or female as their look was so uniquely lovely they could be one or the other.?
“I would like to talk to you about the being that stalks you.”

Scarlett MacAleister
The shapely redhead was taken back by the stunning beauty of the being standing before her. Just looking upon the creature made her knees weak and her stomach fluttered with sudden arousal. She had never seen someone so beautiful in her many years, and found herself questioning immediately who or what this was. Despite the apprehension and distraction, she had looking upon this incredible being, she collected herself and forced herself not to stare at Them. Blushing somewhat (which is hard for a vampire) Scarlett attempted to answer the question. "Being that stalks me? I wasn't aware I was being stalked," she lied, knowing They probably meant Tempest. "I thought this perhaps had to do with the incident at the Midnight Society yesterday. " She met the creature's gaze and found her breath nearly taken away, "B-but I'll cooperate in any way. Tell me, who stalks me?"

They smiled a breathtaking smile “ Come, Scarlett. Games do not become us. Well, who stalks you? And why? Like you are well aware that they have returned. ?If we could do the heart of the matter, I may be able to assist you. ?unless you’d rather I assist them. But I can assure you, you would rather have my allegiance and help than have me give it to them. Now since there is nothing Hospitable about me standing here in front of your door. How about you invite me in. Off me a seat and a beverage. You and ?I can sit down and discuss and talk?”
