Vespasian looked at her and gave her a look of disappointment. "I thought you were one of the best. Why did Hollywood insist on going in to see the prisoner first? Did you catch any of their conversation?" He was not happy that the one that attempted to assassinate him had disappeared. Had she orchestrated the entire thing?
He glanced at the others with them. His three most loyal soldiers. They were always just a call away or rather always within telepathic communication with the Prince. "You will be coming along with us, for now." He informed her as the van made many turns in it's travels.
Scarlett MacAleister The redhead nearly protested Vespasian's retort of her abilities, but decided it was wise to be quiet. She did not know what kind of prince he was, but vampire leaders were seldomly kind or understanding. She was concerned about what they would do, especially if they thought her to be involved in this plot somehow. "I did not catch any of the conversation, sire," Scarlett told him. "But Hollywood's timing to get into that room ahead of me and speak with Eli was tied directly to the explosion. I doubt it was coincidence." It was a stretch. She did not know if Hollywood was involved, but she needed something to avoid unpleasantries with the prince. "I think Hollywood and Eli conspired against you, your majesty," Scarlett concluded. "To what ends I do not know."
