They left the dining room and Keira led Raine to the door that lead out into the gardens. From their they headed to her private estate in the rear of the entire complex. Raine had his own space there, his room down the hall from hers. Once inside, she turned to him. "Okay, I am going to get out of this," she indicated her Aurora outfit, "and meet you in the patio." She wanted his take on tonight and to find out what was bothering him that he seemed to be distant at times during the meeting.? She gave his chest a pat before heading to her room to change.
Once she was comfortably dressed in a light dress, she padded barefoot to the kitchen to get them a couple of wine glasses and a bottle of Moscato. She headed to the patio to wait for Raine.

Once she was comfortably dressed in a light dress,
she padded barefoot to the kitchen to get them a couple of wine glasses and a
bottle of Moscato. She headed to the patio to wait for Raine.

you.¡±? He made his mask fade as he winked
at her in the rest of his costume.?? ¡°I
will be right back.¡±? He kissed her cheek
and nodded.? He moved to his space down the hall from her, he was relaxed with them, but he would be lying if he
said he didn¡¯t want more. Her touch of his chest was rather welcomed. But that
was not his focus at present.? It would
take a bit to form a cohesive group, but they would easily be able to deal with
his father¡¯s rag-tag bunch of wannabe soldiers.

as if they could hold a candle to him alone, much less a well-trained team that
didn¡¯t give a damn about them.¡¯? He
thought he would deal with his family's idea of what a real team looked like.

He was about to take off after changing when he saw the text.? Sure he was confused by her, her on/off working of him.? She would bring him in one minute and push him away the next.? He felt like a yo-yo so when the text came...he felt more caring from her than he wanted to admit, it wasn't a kiss or outright? affection it was him waking her up when he came in to make sure he was ok.? That was touching even for him.? He knew he cared for her when he was going to let her wake him up from his sleep.? He was really caring to give up sleep, yes she was worth it to him.? <<Yes dear heart!>>? He said with?a bit of a smile.? With that he transformed and was gone.

The battle between Raine and Brandon lasted for more than 10 mins, they tore into each other.?Speaking the anger that had seemingly been there all along.? Kiera had been sleeping soundly, when her phone buzzed and played a small tune. She stirred for a moment, then it made noise again. This time it woke her enough to realize what she was hearing. With a slight moan of being disturbed she reached for her phone. She let her eyes adjust before looking at the text. Okay, she thought to herself, why hadn't he come to wake her? She wondered as she slide out of bed, slipped on a light rob, tied it shut, slipped on her slippers and went to find him.
When she saw him at the poolside table drinking she knew it wasn't a good meeting. She knew he didn't get along with his brother, but he never looked like that before. "Steven," she called him by his birth name, something she did only when she knew that he was hurting. She walked to the chair next to his and sat down, "what happened?"

"I am sorry that your family is gone, but you all have been estranged for a long time now, except for Ireland. Her I can understand you mourning, but your father and that woman. I am going to go back to bed and leave you to your mourning. I hope that you will have this all out of your system by the dawn." With that she turned and strolled away back to her bedroom.?
Once the door was closed she smiled, the leader of the group she was trying to work around was gone. Now that too big for his breeches, Brandon was in charge. Life for the White Lighters had just turned a rather interesting corner.?

Didn't expect her cold nature...at least not towards him.? But apparently even now he was on his own.? He didn't know what he expected but none of that mattered when she left the room, he left the area as well.? If he was to be alone, he might as well be alone.? Perhaps his caring for her had been misplaced after all.? With that he was gone a flash of light left nothing there.? He would be back...or not!??
