After a half hour, Draven stood and made his way back to where he had started his run.? He didn't run back so it took about another half an hour for him to make it back to the estate's gardens.? Once there he put his shirt and foot wear back on.? He made his way inside the mansion.? He hoped that he could make it to their room without anyone stopping him.? He didn't want to deal with his family right now.? He wanted to talk with Anais.
Anais
Anais stayed in the shower for as long as her skin would let her. After about twenty minutes, she stepped out the shower walking into their room. He wasn¡¯t there. She sighed. She had wanted to talk about things.
After about an hour and he wasn¡¯t home, she frowned. She felt like she was being punished...like the last he left her after they had words...when he sent her family away. He had gone to see blood dolls...did he do that now? He was her husband...did he go share himself with...
Suddenly Anais felt tired and all she wanted to do was climb into bed. She wouldn¡¯t do that. But that would be obvious would it. Bedsides...Maybe he was downstairs. After dressing in a simple empire waist Aline maxi dress in navy blue, Anais stepped from her room.
She followed the voices. There in the sitting room was Mathias and Esmeralda. They were sitting at the piano. ¡°I¡¯m sorry. I didn¡¯t mean to intrude.¡± She said backing away.
¡±lady Anais you are family. There is no intrusion. Please come in.¡± He said
¡±Do you play dear?¡± Esmeralda asked.?
¡°A little.¡± Anais
¡±can you?¡± Mathias said ¡°then please play for us.¡± He continued stepping from the piano to make room for her.
Anais came in, sat down and began to play Pachebel Cannon in D. She didn¡¯t play the whole six minute piece. But when she was done the other two smiled and clapped. ¡°That was beautiful.¡± Esmeralda said.?
¡°You sound like you have been playing all your life Lady Anais.¡± Mathias asked?
¡±I have. And please just Anais¡± she said ¡°I was the youngest and only girl where I lived. So I learned everything my father thought a proper lady should know. Thus I play piano, flute and violin.¡±
¡±Being a proper lady sounds dreadfully boring.¡± Esmeralda said sitting across from the piano bench.
¡±it was,¡± Anais said ¡±so much so that I developed a penchant for pranks.¡±
¡±Really?¡± Mathias asked.
She nodded. ¡°I was about 9 when I covered my brothers beds in wet toilet paper.l
¡±you didn¡¯t.¡± Esmeralda said gleefully.?
¡°I did.¡± She said with a nod. ¡°My father allowed them all to attend a fancy he was throwing. I was forced to stay in my room. They teased me about it.¡± She said with a shrugged. ¡°there is nothing worst that trying to bring a woman back to a wet bed.
Both Mathias and Esmeralda laughed. ¡°I love it!¡± Esmeralda said.
¡±I like your style¡± Mathias said.
¡±thank you.¡± Anais said with a dramatic bow. ¡°And that¡¯s not even one of the best ones.¡±
¡±oh please do tell.¡± Esmeralda said.
