Raine looked at Kites and listened to him.? ¡°So does that mean you are going back home or will you try to make your way here?? If Mr. Chord invited you here, surely it was for a reason.? Has that reason changed or has your purpose changed?? You want to do better and help people¡then there is no reason why you can¡¯t still do that.? I am pretty sure he wouldn¡¯t want you to try to do this on your own.? You do have a facility right here at your fingertips and should you learn new abilities this too would be the best reason to be here.¡±? Raine hopefully give more answers or such and less questions.? He hoped he would come to his own conclusion to help to stay.
He could only ponder what his egghead brother had done to mess this up.? The very thought made a grin want to come to his face, but he hid that for right now.

¡°I am sorry I thought everyone had access to a phone.? You know¡¡±? Raine was truly cunning and he could have access to the facility and to Kites.? It would be a device that father couldn¡¯t trace or would over look¡cause it was his.? It was off grid.? He pulled off his watch.? ¡°Here this is a communication device that will go to me and we can converse through it and you can let me know when we can meet.¡±? He quickly showed him how to use the device: To call and text him.
¡°So anytime you need to meet me or chat let me know.? Don¡¯t tell anyone where you got it from.? You would probably have too much of a problem explaining how got such a device¡with no money.? Don¡¯t want you branded a thief your second week in the? city.¡±? He smiled very friendly he wanted to be open and someone he would contact and reach out too.

¡°You might need to catch Mr. Chord before he gets too busy.¡±? He said as he? knew he needed to see who else was leaving.? He didn¡¯t believe the team was getting disbanded so much as wondering¡if they would rally and come together.? He need to go back and see the bosslady to determine what the rest of the plans would be next.? He did have a deep amount of information now thanks to Kites.? He would wait for him to leave before he took off.

Kites thought about what Raine said.? The man was right.? He came here for a reason, to make something of himself.? Chord recruited him for a reason, to help defend and protect the city.? If he turned tail and ran now, what would the others think of him?? What would he think of himself?? He'd be letting everybody down much less himself.? So that would not do.? He had to give it an earnest chance before throwing in the towel.

"Even if I were to go back, I would be going back with nothing to show for my time here.? So even if I wanted to, I couldn't.? As you said, I'm here for a reason and that I should take advantage of this opportunity," the winged youth said, turning back to Raine.? "You're right though.? I have to think logically and not emotionally.? If I leave now, I would probably forever regret that I didn't stay and give it another chance.? Plus who knows...maybe I would find I am worth more than just my wings."

Kites had made up his mind.? He would stay.? At the very least, he needed to find Gen and apologize for his atrocious behavior.? The androgyne didn't do anything to warrant the kind of attitude that Kites gave him, in fact, he was seeking comfort but Kites not only yelled at him, but also pushed him away.? That probably hurt very much...no, it had to have hurt him a lot.? It seems that Kites had a lot to work on internally.? So when Raine offered to be his counsel and gave him a highly advanced watch, then showed him how to do it, he couldn't feel anything but gratefulness at this opportunity.? Once the watch was securely fastened to his left wrist, he watched with great focus everything that the man showed him on the usage.? The fact that he could just press a button and get in touch with him felt like a wondrous creation.

"I very much appreciate the watch, Raine.? It will be very well taken care of, and I will find a way to pay you back for it, somehow," Kites said, stretching out his hand and shaking Raine's in return.? "As you said, I better go and catch Chord.? Plus, there's someone that I need to make up with before it's too late.? Thank you very much.? I hope to meet up with you again soon."? With that, Kites took a short bow and then took off at a run, opening his wings as he dove over the building's edge.? He flew up to wave at Raine again and then disappeared into the alley, alighting with the ground and then heading inside the facility.? Like that man indicated, he better find Chord soon and take responsibility for his actions, and then.? Then he would find Gen and apologize for how he had acted.

He watched and listened.? He was much better able to adapt and deal with those here.? Being with his BFF Keira had been plenty helpful, the fact that they hadn't crossed that boundary was still a mystery to him, but he didn't press her.? They were still good together,?if something like that was supposed to happen it would.? Keira had given him something more than what his family had.? Much more trust and focus.? He still loved his family despite their rejection or apparent rejection, but he had his own way of doing things and it wasn't being daddy's personal bootlick.? Seems even Brandon's good son routine hadn't paid off.? He couldn't wait to laugh in his face for all of his cowtoing and not simply saying what he felt, he still ended up disappointing them.? He chuckled.? He knew why Ireland would never see him more than a lovesick puppy.? She was never going to go for him.? He was too weak!? Now he had proved it.? First time out as leader and he broke down crying going to lick his wounds he was sure!? He saw his mother and brother on the roof and he wanted none of that.? He was sure Harrison would rip him a new one and even though he wanted to hear it he had spent too much time here as it was.? He came to see Ireland but he would have to text her.? He had to go, the party would need his presence. .??
"No no.? You sound as if you have made a good decision.? You should definitely make sure to let Mr. Chord, know that you rethought your decisions and you regret your statements made in haste.? I understand that you were nervous having never had to deal with both logical and emotional bombardment at the same time. You should explain that to him as well.? So you would like the chance to be the person that everyone can see you being.? You have the potential to be a great hero Kites you just need someone to teach you.? That is all.? I see that in you!"? Raine knew he could be charming he had several women that told him the same even though he had his eye on one, but nonetheless he still had other duties to perform and he needed to get back to them.
"Don't worry you have provided me with some things to think of as well.? And another friend to talk with when things come up.? Your perspective is refreshing.? I look forward to other conversations.? Yeah you should do that."? He smiled and waved by as Kites took off he chuckled.? 'Seriously the young boy couldn't be any more perfect.? Naive and trusting to a fault.? That would be my in.? If the program was over then they would be just people and not a team.? No one to get in the way of he and?Keira's?plans.'? He smiled.? 'A great day and I didn't even have to use my sister for information.he hopped off the edge of the building transforming to alpha waves and shot across the city back home to his partner in crime.? He was not happy that he had to be away from her this long, but she could take care of herself, but she shouldn't have too...and part of him didn't want her too.? He laughed at the perfection off his plan, but he didn't know how bad things had become between Ireland and Brandon or he would have been far more happier to have been right.? He told his brother one day he was going to push her too far and she would be out of his life for good.? He loved being right where his little brother was concerned.? It was his own personal warm and fuzzies to rub Brandon's nose in it.??
He concentrated becoming invisible and walked over closer to where his Mother and Brother was as he was simply eavesdropping.? ?He should have been used to his younger brother's whining but there was a part of him that got kind of a perverse delight in listening to his mother scold him and tell him to man up!? He had no idea how his punkass got a woman unless she was some sniveling weak whelp like he was.? He would wait a few minutes.? Hell he had come all of this way and since he didn't have to glean information from his sister he could just see her, hug and kiss on her as his precious one then go home before he ran into HIM!!!? Ireland was most important, outside of Harrison she was all that mattered.
