Kat was glad that Chord hoped she would make Brandon happy. Also that it was alright for her to stay. Though when he stood and moved to the window, she could smell his concern and the slight apprehension with her request to continue training. She had expected that. She knew that though she had been serious she had not fully committed herself at that point. She sat up a little straighter and told him so.
"Sir, I understand what what you are saying and I agree with it. You also have to understand that for me, I had not yet committed myself fully to what you wanted. It was mainly because I had not been sure if I would be able to get along with the others. After what had happened yesterday I felt that I would have been able to work with them all. It would have taken time to work out any issues but I know, that at least for me, I would have everything I have into it." She shifted slightly the continued. "I am willing to put my all into training and learning what I am capable of doing. I know that it will be the hardest thing that I will endure. Still, it will be worth it if I help just one person."

He listened to Kat and did not think he really believed her. Her stating that she had not committed herself because she did not think she could work with the others sounded like a lie to him.
Her words now did not take into account her unprofessionalism yesterday or her desire to but her loyalty to Brandon above the program.
