Draven gave Esmeralda a slight grin.? He never cared much for her as she was superficial.? "Well, I figured it was time to bring my betrothed home to meet the family.? Didn't feel a need to let you know I was coming.? As to how long we will be staying..." he glanced at Anais, "...that all depends on Mathias."? He let Anais slip her arm into his as they climbed the stairs to the front door.
Draven was a little taken aback that he couldn't feel his father.? He would wait to see his mother as her presence was very strong.? He would know about his father's fate as soon as he saw her.
Anais and company
Esmeralda was a bit taken aback by Draven¡¯s words. ¡°Oh...well I thought I heard you ask Arron if anyone knew you were coming. I guess I was wrong.¡±
She was even more taken aback that Draven has introduce the help to his betrothed, but not her. She who was essentially his sister in law.
¡°Well it is a pleasure to meet you, Anais. Being that you and I will be practically sisters, we will have to take some time alone to get to know each other.¡± She said with a smile.?Esmeralda said as she turned to move back into the house.
¡°Of course,¡± Anais said ¡°I look forward to that¡± she said genuinely. Holding Draven¡¯s hand as she walked inside.
