Scarlett was ripped back from her memories and sensations of the past with a faint gasp as she let go of the memory of being held against the wall by Tempest and used. It was her phone, ringing in the pocket of her black leather jacket.
She shook of the sensations she'd been recollecting in her mind and retrieved the phone. The phone number was blocked, but then most of the people who called her used blocked numbers, so it was not unusual. She keyed the phone to accept the call and held it to her ear.
