"Stop!" the Dragon roared, his deep-throated command reverberating off the stone walls.? With difficulty, he fought down the rage that threatened to consume him.? After taking a couple of calming breaths, he tried again.? "Don't go."? Still too much of a command, he added "Please?? Please don't go?"? But the girl was already gone.

He turned to Angus, who was standing nearby.? "And people think _I'm_ unstable," he rumbled.? "Go after her, Angus.? Try to get her to stay, if you can.? Tell her I'm... I'm sorry.? Even if I don't know what I'm sorry for, I _am_ sorry."

Angus hurried after the departing girl.? "Mistress!? Please!? Wait!" he called out.? The girl was younger and it was hard for him to match her pace.? "The Master is sorry!? Truly!? He... he needs you.? Please stay.? Please?"

? Mikayla never made it far. Just to the stairs near the front door before she sat down and cried. He has threatened to kick me out. I refused to be used Angus. It¡¯s not fair to me. He was the one who brought me here. I didn¡¯t ask to come.
Inside the keep where the dragon waited, the little purple light appeared again.
