Scarlett was first of all disappointed to hear Wolfram would not be joining them. She's been counting on this party to be her opportunity to end his miserable existence. It would allow her to avenge her abuse by him years earlier, the death of her fianc¨¦ and end this charade she'd been taking part in for years now to get close to Tempest and through her to Wolfram.
But there was something else Tempest said, about this being her debut. She knew this party was supposed to be her first appearance publicly among the elite vampires, as a submissive to Tempest, but she had no idea it was specifically a coming out party for her.
