The place seemed surprisingly - disappointingly? - ordinary, Gen thought.? He didn't know what he was expecting, really.? Maybe something like out of the comics he seen?? Some ultra high-tech security systems popping up around him?? Costumed mutants pouring out of the building in all sorts of colorful ways?? He knew he should probably be glad that none of that was happening, but still... This? ?Nothing? No siren or searchlights?? Not even a barking dog or two?
?
"These guys must be super lame," Gen muttered as he scuttled down the side of the building, dropping the last ten feet or so and landing silently on the sidewalk.? He wanted to feel safe.? He was hoping maybe this Academy place would take him in, even if he wasn't a _real_ mutant.? But he was now wondering if they'd be able to protect him if the Futura people tracked him here.
?
"So what good are you, huh?" the androgyne shouted at the darkened doors, venting his frustration.? Picking up a discarded bottle from the gutter, he prepared to throw it through the nearest window.? "You probably can't even protect yourselves!"??

(NPC Liza)
"That wouldn't be a good idea," Liza said as she suddenly materialized from the side of the building. "That would not go over well with the locals. Perhaps just simply knocking on the front door would get you better results." She said as she stepped up to him. She was a little taller than he was with hair that seemed to shimmer with different colors and eyes that changed colors as well. Then suddenly it all stopped to reveal dark brown almost black hair and ice blue eyes. "I am Liza, who are you?"
