Evone¡¯ was quiet will she processed everything Andrew said. So not only did she just learn that her husband wanted her dead, she learned that most likely her father was dead also.
Tears fill her eyes at the information. Not the Lucas thing. She had somewhat came to grips the Lucas wanted her dead thing on the ship. They way he treated her was indicative of someone who didn¡¯t care about her¡but her father...no she didn¡¯t know that.
her father was the only family she had left. He was everything to her. And to learn she her lost him¡this way¡was painful.
She also had an inheritance. Which she knew about because her father was already a wealthy man, But it had to be a sizable inheritance for Lucas to go through as much trouble as he went through. It made sense he wasn¡¯t just letting her go.?

"I plan to find your dear husband and put a stop to him before he has a chance to hurt you - or your father - again," Andrew said simply.? "And our best shot at that will be to get to France before he does. And the sooner we set sail, the better."

"We sail with the tide," the Captain told the crew, who took the news with apparent enthusiasm.? "First to Port Royal to unload our cargo, and then straight for France."? He smiled to Evone'.? "It will lighten the ship and allow us to make better speed."
