The blond youth seemed to suddenly deflate inside, like the anger and resentment he'd been holding in just got to be too heavy a load.? "Sorry," he mumbled to Misty, collapsing onto a nearby sofa.? "I don't mean to be an asshole all the time.? I really don't.? I.. I just have trouble being anything else.? It's easier to take people walking away that way."??
He looked to Mia, the surliness and belligerence gone out of him.? "Where do you want me?"
(Mia/Misty) Mia exchanged a glance with Misty, they both knew that this was coming. Roddy wasn't the first person to come into the place all high and mighty to just suddenly deflate after a little bit of time. Some took a day, others an hours, some merely minutes. "I meant to add, why do we need window dressings to appear normal when everyone knows we aren't." Misty said with a smile. "I forgive you. It is okay, I understand. But no one here is going to walk away like others in your past have."
Mia knew he was in good hands with Misty, "just go with Misty and she will take you to your room. We are glad to have you, Roddy...Rod...is Roddy short for something? What would you like to be called?"
