It was disorienting for the pookah for a moment as the cave around him suddenly went grey and then reformed into a completely different scene around him.? He was back facing the tribunal that had condemned him and forced him into exile.? Which was impossible.? Not only was it 120 years ago, but the chamber was an ocean away. And there was the fact that all of the tribunal members were dead.? It had to be an illusion, he thought.? But if it was, it was a damn good one.? It looked, sounded and felt as real as he remembered it.? And the memory of that night was close to unnerving him.
?
But the voice that now spoke in the dimly lit chamber was not the voice of the taoiseach.? It was a woman's voice, one he did not recognize, and yet he knew instinctively that it was the voice who whoever was behind the evil coming out of Miller's Crossing.
?
"Do ah know that?" Flynn mused out loud.? There was nothing visible in the chamber that appeared to be the source the voice, making it all the more unsettling.? "Ah don' think ah do."? He chose to look at the taoiseach even though the illusion did not look back at him.? "And ah don' think you know that either, or you'd be willin' to face us instead of sendin' your unnatural revnants to try'n scare us off."

(New Charity)
She liked this one. He was oozing with magic. Charity smiled and walked slowly around the chamber, taking in the tribunal seated there as she kept one eye on the pookah...just in case.
"I'm sorry for my absence, but I've been busy," she said. "Flynn, isn't it? Your magic has been blocking me for so long...you are a formidable opponent. But it doesn't have to be that way. We could be...friends."
Charity stopped in front of the tribunal and looked them over before turning to Flynn. "They exiled you? Banned you from your own kind? What gave them the right to do that to you? Surely, Flynn, you deserve better than that."
