Chase moved away; the arid magical nature of the place tickled his nostrils but he continued moving in that direction. He was able to get a sense for where he was going, he walked sniffing there were no dead or rotting flesh so they were ok for the most from what was without, he was not surprised by the change.
He sniffed some more and knew who it was without looking back. ¡°The happy couple need some more private time?¡± He smirked to himself, that was out of line considering the man just lost his own lover to God knows what, if she survived that whatever it was. It was through him that she would rather take her chances out there than be with them.
Flynn called for them to bunk down for a bit and he did that. He was in a mood. I will take first watch.¡± He pulled out one of his blades and sharpening stones and went to work, he looked like he was doing just that, but deep down he was pondering why she would leave and what was really their next move¡there was likely no one in the town alive now with that much evil running around and yet???
?[Sicilien]
?
"I can take the second watch whenever you need a break, Chase," Sicilien called out to the man, leaving him alone for the most part.? Flynn was the leader, so to speak, so if he said rest, then they rest.? The bounty hunter wasn't about argue about wanting to keep going.? He was too wound up to know whether he was truly tired or not.
"So, if ya'll don't some conversation," Sicilien quietly said, hopping off the horse as he picked the smoothest hole in the ground and sat down.? "How did all of you get roped into this?? Was this a chance meeting that turned into something more, or were ya'll already familiar with each other?"

(Callie Carson)
?
? ?Callie was annoyed they were stopping again. At this rate they might as well let Miller's Crossing be destroyed and just try and save other nearby settlements. She understood Flynn needed rest to re-energize himself, but she really didn't want any more delays.?
? ?Wide awake and chomping at the bit to press on, Callie sat down on the cave floor and looked at Sicilien as he spoke.?
? ?"Flynn and I work for a...security company that deals in this sort of thing. Blackstone Security," she said. "This was our assignment. I guess everyone else just sort of fell into this with us."
?
(Flynn)
?
"We're goin' in kinda blind," Flynn added, leaning back on his gear.? "Word quit comin' outta the Crossin' 'bout a coupla weeks ago.? And our contact died on us shortly after we got here.? Couldn' get much outta him 'cept him tellin' us 'They all daid' over and over again."
?
"And now it seems we're one short, though I don' know what her role in all this was supposed to have been."? The only light in the cavern was coming from the wisp, casting flickering shadows all about the group.? "But at least nothin' seems to be comin' after us.? For the moment, anyways."
?
It was hard to tell how much time passed in the near darkness.? But then Flynn was up and about, rousing the others.? "Time to get movin' again."
?
They stopped twice more, until finally the wisp itself stopped, going no further.
?
"Looks like we're here," the pookah said, staring at where a tunnel - man-made by the look of it - now led upwards.? "We're right beneath the Crossin', and I'm guessin' this must be the way up."? He looked to Callie and the others.? "You all ready?? There's no tellin' what's up there now 'cept it's probably bad and is gonna try'n kill us.? Or worse."
