Khadashee took his hand in hers. ¡°I don¡¯t need to know all your secrets, Draven. I just don¡¯t want you to deliberately keep secrets from me. Especially important things that I should know.¡± She went quiet then and took a deep breathe. ¡°I do have a question for you do you plan to leave me here and go back out to sea?¡±

Draven could tell that he was on the right path now and that she was on the way to forgiving him. Then she asked her question. He looked her in the eyes, "No. I have no intention of leaving you here and returning to sea. I was going to let you see the place, get to know the people, and then I was planning on discussing with you how you felt about being here where you and our child would be safe. I had no intention of quietly abandoning you here. I know that you would never forgive me for that and that you would not remain here if I did." He was telling her the truth. Yes, he would want her to remain here, but he would not ever do it without her blessing. "I love you too much to do that to you."
