Sam moved to sit in one of the two chairs surrounding the hearth. She picked up the cup and sniffed. ¡°Chicken noodle soup. Umm, this was my favorite as a child. My mother and I would make it from scratch together. Thank you Jaimie this is really sweet.¡± Picking up the cup, she first blew on the liquid then sipped. ¡°So tell me about yourself, Jaimie. I know you said your family has worked here for generations, but what makes you decide to stay?¡±

'N' rightly sae. Laird callum is 'ere. ?'N' Brutus. ?'N' th' horses. ?Thay need me. Even the Lady Kirstene needs me whiles, though she kin be a frightful terror at times.? Ah coudnae lea thaim even if ah wanted tae."? ?

"Wull ye be needing anythin' else, mistress?" Jaimie asked finally, worrying that Sam might see through him at any moment if she kept looking at him.? "Ah... A'm needin' tae tend tae th' bits 'n' ither hings that need daein'."
