Callie squeezed Flynn's hand, "I'm checking on Etienne. I'll
be right back."

She slipped away and headed out to the front of the cave, past
Sicilien, and out to the front where Etienne leaned against the cave wall,
looking out at the sun setting lower on the horizon.
?
"You OK?" she asked. "Men seem to like to do all
the talkin' and givin' orders. Don't feel like you can't tell them what you
want."

(Flynn)

The pookah nodded to Callie as she went out to check on
Etienne.? "Don't take too long," he cautioned, giving her hand a
parting squeeze as she left.? "I'm gonna have to open a portal. And
when it's open, there ain't gonna be no time for roundin' up stragglers. We
gotta go then or we don't go at all."

Flynn turned back and began tracing a large circle on the floor of
the cave, imbuing with glamour so that it gave off a golden glow with each new
arc.? He looked to Sicilien and Chase as he kept tracing.?
"Gather up whatever mounts and gear we got and get them inside this
circle.? There's a whole long cavern below us. I checked it out in the
dreamin' and it goes all the way to Miller's Crossing.? I don't know what
all's down there, but it'll be safer than tryin' to go overland.? Once
we're down there though, be ready for anythin'."

(Sicilien)

It was a good thing that whatever luggage they each had on each
other wasn't much.? The bounty hunter himself only had his rifle and two
revolvers, preferring to carry nothing else except for whatever he could fit inside
the numerous hidden pockets of his long coat.? It didn't seem like Etienne
had much either since they literally took just her out of that bar and nothing
else.? They were too far to go back for whatever items she may have left
behind.? Chase had some things.? Callie and Flynn the most with a few
of their duffle bags containing their weapons and clothes.? He and Chase
worked to gather everything up and saddle up the horses, then lead the beasts
of burden into Flynn's magical circle.

Then his attention turned to Etienne. He wanted to go to her, but
Callie was already by her side.? Besides, he was sure that even if he did,
all he would get is two pairs of glares so he decided to just give up.?
They didn't have time to wax nostalgic and sift through their feelings, if
there was anything left to sift at all.? He sighed.
?
"I think we're almost ready now.? What do you say,
Chase?" Sicilien asked his beastly companion.? He placed one foot
into the stirrup of the horse beside him and flicked his hat up.? Then he
grinned, trying to insert some levity into quite a heavy situation.?
Anything but the sorrow he was feeling deep inside his gut.? "We're
just missing two lovely ladies and then we're off.? Just don't teleport me
into a wall.? I hear that does a number on your digestive system."

Looked over at Callie with a smile. ¡°Thanks.¡± She said looking
back at the night. They do talk a lot don¡¯t they. They think they know what¡¯s
best. But how can you know what¡¯s best for someone else, especially if you don¡¯t
ask.¡± She sighed then

¡°I¡¯m not going with you Callie.¡±?

He merely watched what was going on around him.? His idea was simply to
focus on that which was needing to be done and they needed to get to Miller's
Crossing.? He wasn't sure why but because they were trying so hard to keep
them from getting?there he knew that he needed to be there.? He
couldn't quite put his finger on it but everything was pointing in that
direction, it made him wonder about the evil that was there.? With that he
gave one last go over of his weapons and gear, once they got there he was
definitely going to get him some silver as everything seemed to be most
affected by that...including him.? ?He moved to get his gear and his
mount and was ready for porting.? "Present and accounted
for."? He said mostly relaxed at the moment.? He was wearing
gloves right now. The last thing he wanted to do was cut himself.
He watched as Callie went to the mouth of the cave, the same direction that
Etienne went in.? He merely smiled to himself as he kept his thoughts to
himself.? It was Sicilien that brought his attention to the
forefront.? "I am as ready as I am going to get."? He
smirked and patted Sicilien's shoulder.? "She is a woman, give her
time...is she worth not giving up on?"? He looked at him.? He
didn't even consider Etienne, knowing the shared history between the two
now.? In this particular venture, he was just along for the ride.? 'A
fifth wheel so to speak.'? He took a good sniff as he still swore?he
smelled dead.? The decay was all around to his lupine senses.? 'There
are days when I hate being a wolf!' He thought it was foul to him and he needed
a bath so that didn't help either.? "Are we leaving captain?"
