Anais didn¡¯t know who they were speaking about. Who was this bad man? Did they mean Vincent? She did find it odd however that the mother was literally explaining everything about her situation to a child...especially one so young.
When two sets of eyes turn to her she didn¡¯t know what to say. She didn¡¯t remember how she got in the forest...or even how she got away from Vincent. Did he let her go? Had he drugged her again??
She went back to the first question. ¡°I was going to go home. I¡¯m sure I have family who are worried about me.¡±

"Oh, okay..." Anna said then paused and looked towards the window. She gave her mom a kiss on the cheek, then climbed off of her lap. "I hope you get back home, Evie. I have to go and take my bath now." And just as quickly as the child had ran into the room, she ran out.?
Juliet looked to Anais at that point, "her father had been calling her." She said to clarify how the child knew. "Is there anything we can provide for your journey home?" She asked with a smile.?
