As Harrison and Chord walked through the compounds, she looked over and saw his face. She could tell he was not happy. ¡°So what are you thinking,¡± she said.
¡°I'm thinking that they're all immature, including Brandon, which disappoints me the most.¡±
¡°You know Brandon,¡± Harrison said. ¡°He and Rain are very much alike.¡±
¡°You mean they blame me for everything that¡¯s wrong in their life.¡± Chord said not able to find the words.
¡°Yes,¡± Harrison said. ¡°I mean just that,¡± she said understanding what he meant.

¡°I had hoped by making Brandon the head of this team he would step up and rise to the occasion. I hoped by making Brandon the head of this team that he would begin to focus less on his insecurities and on the needs of the others. I had hoped by making Brandon the head of this team that he would step up and lead.¡±

¡°And you don¡¯t think he can do that?¡± Harrison said.
¡°There is a reason why I demoted him and made Ireland leader.

¡°Between the two of them, she has shown more mature in her handing of the team. The same maturity I expected from Brandon. I think between all of them we saw today she is the one who is going to be able to put her insecurities aside and lead. ¡°

¡°Do you think they will respect her.¡±

¡°I don¡¯t think Ireland will allow disrespect. Her personality is just too strong for that.¡±
¡±Do you really think Ireland is going to take over being their leader.¡±

¡°I don't know. I know Ireland has her own insecurities associated with powers, but she knows who she is and what she can do. She had a sound decision-making process and she is going to be able to be professional at all times. Something Brandon could not do. As the oldest, I am so disappointed in him.¡±

¡°But do you really think Ireland is going to take over being their leader¡from Brandon.¡±

Chord signed. ?¡°I don¡¯t know Ireland. But what I do know is after the performance I saw today, they need a strong leader and that is just not Brandon. The only person I see mature enough to running this team would be Mia¡±

¡°Are you sure? Mia has a problem with authority you saw that when we first met her.¡± Harrison asked.
¡°She and I talked at length. I think we have come to understanding.¡± Chord said
¡°Then she and I will need to talk at length so we can reach the same understanding.¡±
Chord smiled. He was going to be leaving soon and leaving Harrison with the team, needed to make sure everything was in place before he did. ?

¡°Mia has a sound head on her shoulders. She seems like she makes good decisions and she's the only one of the five of them in that room who knew who to handle herself professionally. ¡° Chord said.

¡°Is that professionalism or is it because no one has any interest in her?¡± Harrison asked.
¡°Well, if Ireland agrees to sit in on at least one session I guess we will see how they both do, won't we.¡±
¡°I guess we will,¡± Harrison said. She paused. ¡°that's what got you were the most upset doesn't it.¡±

¡°It¡¯s like they don't take any of this seriously. And the fact that Gen had the audacity to speak to me as if she should be proud of the way she performed. The fact that she didn¡¯t even realize her mistake or have any contrition at the fact that she almost put her whole team in danger¡I mean no shame¡just all pride¡at the fact that Ireland watched¡It makes me want to reconsider this whole team. I think that this might have been a very biggest mistake. And don¡¯t say I told you so.¡±

Harrison smiled. ¡°I would not dream of it. ¡° she said the smugness in her slight high brow English Accent.
¡°Oh but you would.¡± He said with a smirk.
¡°You are right, I would. ¡° Harrison said with a smile. ?¡°How about we put today behind us. You go on patrol, I know that helps to calm you down and we'll talk about everything in the morning.¡±

Chord leaned in and kissed her cheek. They had been friends for over twenty years. ?¡°Tell Keira I said hello.¡±
¡°I will,¡± Harrison said. ¡°goodnight.

Smooth Jazz played in her car as she drove home to the apartment she shared with her lover. She couldn¡¯t wait to get home so she could leave the day at the door and unwind. She drove the black sleek Mercedes-Benz through the city streets, pulling into the garage. Parking the vehicle, she shut off the engine. She took her shoes off at the door and came inside to the smell of something delicious cooking.

¡°Something smells absolutely divine,¡± Imogene said as she came in. She took the beautiful woman that was all hers into her arms and kissed her soundly. ¡°Hello Beautiful, how was? your day?¡±

Once their kiss was finished and both were flush, and Harrison had her glass of wine in her hand, Keira responded, "naha, I asked you first."? She said as she stepped to the stove to stir the meal.? "How was your day?"
She set the table and once Harrison was sitting down she brought plates with the food already on them.? She sat across from her lover and waited to hear the answer of the question.
