? (Aurora/NPCs) First to Mara, ¡°Del is not a new, new recruit. She has been with us for a little while now. She manages the Night¡¯s Elegance and knows how to spot others of our kinds.¡± ? Then to Lightening Rod, ¡°no, not a bouncer. You will do what ever job Del gives you¡but you are there to learn from her how to spot mutants. That will be your number one job. You will have two weeks starting off, after that time, I will assess you and see if you are learning anything or not. If not, well, you can probably guess what will happen. And I am sure you can be charming, but with the thing between your legs, you are not her type.¡± She said with a smile, hoping he could get the hint. ¡°You will report to her tomorrow afternoon at 3:00. Take along a suitcase as she will have a place for you to stay during this time.¡± ? Then she turned her attention to Photon as she noticed him not take some wine. Then she stood up, ¡°now, that concludes tonight¡¯s dinner. Are their any questions before we depart for the rest of the evening?¡± ? ? [Mara] ? "I see," was all that Mara said, making note of who Delphine was.? An aura reader, huh?? But could she do more than just spot mutants?? Perhaps her ability could tell her what that person's abilities would be?? Depends on how powerful, she supposed, feeling a little bit curious but there wasn't that much interest for her to make a trip out there. ? Turning her attention to the dinner table, the snake woman eyed what was available, to see if something would catch her eye and settled for a plate of strawberries and whipped cream, dipping the berries before tossing them in her mouth.? She nearly choked at Roddy's bold statement and Aurora's follow up, snickering to herself at his being shut down.? Yeah, the boss lady was right.? The kid needed to be brought down a peg or two.? Well, they'll find out whether he learned anything after he comes back. ? "No questions from me," Mara said, returning to her delectable dessert.

Roddy frowned at Aurora's seeming dismissal of his charms and his chances. And at being told he was being sent to "learn", with the barely veiled warning that failing to learn would mean his rejection from the Benders.? He wondered briefly if she was telling them that this Delphine who apparently ran the Night's Elegance only liked women, then shrugged the thought away.? No reason to not at least _try_ to see how far he could get.
"Okay, Boss Lady," he said, stretching his arms and then standing up at the table.? "I'll head over to the Elegance and see what your Delphine wants me to do. And see if she can actually teach me anything."? The fresh-faced youth looked to the others at the table, grinning cockily and sparing them a collective nod.? "Nice meeting you all.? I guess I'll see you in two weeks? Who knows?? Maybe I'll be running the place by then."??

Rain seemingly ignored it all even though he could hear everything, change the frequency and he focused on just making himself useful.? His mind was drifting as he still hadn¡¯t heard from his babygirl and that had him worried now. ? She would at least send him something, he thought they had a good day together and he even tried to make nice with her new girlfriend. ? What more could he do to try to make amends with the other love of his life.? No he wasn¡¯t Brandon, but he loved her too, just not like that. ? She was the one part of the family that still made him try with ¡®Father¡¯. ? He hated that he could never measure up and that Brandon was the apple of his eye. ?
He was always a pain in his ass because of it.? Maybe he would go by and see him¡and hope he didn¡¯t try anything stupid like try to arrest him. ? He still kept an eye on Harrison and he enjoyed seeing that ¡®Mom¡¯ was happy.? He loved being invisible at times.? Most of his family thought he didn¡¯t care¡he did just in his own way.? He was not going to be ruled by them or their ideas and now he was free¡for the most part, some were family other were... He eyed Roddy, wanted to push him in front of a bus, but still everyone wouldn¡¯t be friends in family right?

?He watched her stand looking like his dream, a smile crossed his face it looked like he was really enjoying his dessert, but he was thinking of her. ? Just the thought of her made him smile.? With that she shut the meeting down. ? Each one spoke in turn, even loud mouth that couldn¡¯t¡or didn¡¯t want to figure out that Del was into men. ? ¡®He wanted to be the one to set her straight?¡¯ ?He laughed, ¡®maybe if Roddy failed Aurora would let him, keep the balloon as a pet? He was funny.'

?¡°No Madame, no questions.¡± ?He said finishing his dessert and wiping his lips as he looked at her from behind his mask. He was still in costume and was looking forward to getting out of it.
