The trio noticed Devi speak to Aurora then leave.? Jordie knew that she would need to be removed from the data base.? He would take care of it after the meal.

Aurora felt the shift in Photon.? She reached a hand over to his arm and once he leaned in, she quietly asked, ¡°You okay?¡±? Before he could answer, Mara was speaking to her.? Aurora looked over at Lightening Rod and simply shrugged.? ¡°I think he wants to impress you.? He is a youngest whose breeches are too big.? He will learn to control his, powers and emotions¡or he will be dismissed from the group.? He is unfortunately trying to impress the wrong person.¡± She said as she indicated Misty, who was trying desperately to get the lads attention.

Misty simply gave Photon a nod, before turning to Lightening Rod, ¡°Aurora will let us, or rather you, know what your next step is before the end of the night.? The rest of us have been with her for a little while now.? She doesn¡¯t like showoffs, though, so might want to keep that in mind.¡±

"You're certainly right about that," Mara answered to Aurora's indication of wrong impressions.? The boy indeed seemed to teetering on the edge, but whether it was excitement, fear or something else entirely is not something she was fully vested in finding out.? The amount of guests staying was already whittling down, so if had to admit to herself, was a bit disappointing.? Was this all the city had to offer in terms of competition?? She could easily fillet every single one of these newcomers without breaking a single sweat.? Drip poison in their food.? Jordie and Liza she was somewhat familiar with, though on a surface level at best.? But she didn't know Misty nor this young blood either.? She was sure Aurora wouldn't miss either if she ever gave Mara the command.

"I suppose we shall see, won't we?"? The last part was said mainly to herself, but she knew her friend understood clear enough.? With that, she returned to her food, every now and then her eyes flicking over to the end of the table.

Roddy frowned slightly at Misty's comment that Aurora didn't like show-offs and that he should keep that in mind.? "How'm I supposed to impress her then?? Or anyone else?" The blond youth picked grumpily at his food.? "I just wish she'd start talking about what she has in mind.? And what we're likely to get out of it."

He glanced up the table at where the ones who seemed to be top of the pack were sitting.? The one called Photon seemed distracted for some reason, as if chewing something over in his head that he was having trouble resolving.? Aurora and Mara, on the other hand, were carrying on some quiet conversation.? And Roddy got the distinct impression that at least part of it was about him.

It was hard for him not to stare. Aurora was, he had to admit, fairly impressive.? But the snake-eyed woman unsettled him.? He got the distinct impression that she could - and would - kill him without a moment's consideration if Aurora said the word, yet he still wanted to get closer to her, to be able to gaze into those lidless eyes and get the full impact of her scrutiny.? His skin tingled all over at the very thought of it.

He knew he was in love with Aurora he had always been, not that he wasn¡¯t without his issues or flaws but they had been dancing like this for a while.? He knew, she knew but there were few things that needed to be worked out between them.? Not that villains couldn¡¯t love but he wasn¡¯t going to compromise the mission on the altar of his libido.? He was going to make sure things got done before he took care of her.? But as he sat there something seemed to grab him and run through his spine like something just walked over his grave.? And his blood ran cold.? He didn¡¯t know what it was but it didn¡¯t feel right for some reason.?
¡°Yes¡Ma¡¯am.¡±? He did his best to be professional.? He wanted to say ¡®My love.¡¯ But he wouldn¡¯t give his feelings away even though most of the regulars often wondered if they were an item anyway and yet when she touched him, it gave him some comfort but still he felt a certain unease that he couldn¡¯t let get out right now.
He looked at those there and the image of his family was superimposed there.? He could see each of them¡save Father..his image was hazy.? He was going to have to go see the man, he was who he was today because of him.? He would have to steal some time away tomorrow to at least have talk with him.??
This was the fourth time his phone buzzed, he normally wouldn't answer it but it was a certain ringtone that was unmistakeable?to his hypersenistive?ears..? It was his father's ring tone,? The message that came across was cryptic as hell.? <<Meet me at the treehouse...come alone....Brandon.>>
He frowned, 'why was pipsqueak using Chords ring tone?'? He sent one more message before he put his phone away.? Since it was the treehouse it would be private, why there of all places.? ?He just figured he had gotten his hands upon his own team and wanted to gloat. Using father's ringtone, clever, he knew he would at least look at father's ringtone.? ?Wanted to lord over him that he had the keys to the castle.? ?Ok he would play his game, he would see how much the runt had learned since the last time he taxed dat ass.? ?

He put his phone away and looked at those gathered there at the table and now his mind was wondering what his little brother could possibly want.? 'Even he wouldn't be so weak to surrender without a fight!? Besides, Ireland told him he had gotten some backbone since his new girlfriend. Whoever this poor clueless thing was!'? He thought but he would just wait till things were over.
