Mikayla moaned at the weight of his head upon her body. It was warm and comforting. She snuggled closer to him. ?At his word she ?smiled ¡°that would be nice, but you are really the only thing that matter. You and Angus. Once you are free, my job will be done.¡± She whispered.
And as The Dragon settled off to sleep, so too did Mikayla. However a few hours later, as the?light of the noon day sun filtered into the tower, Mikayla¡¯s eyes fluttered open. With a yawn and stretch, she realized that she had slept for a while.
?Turning she smiled to see her smaller body tucked into The Dragon¡¯s larger one. He looked so peaceful, she decided she would simply slip out. And slowly she moved to extricate herself from him.
(The Dragon, Angus)
The Dragon was awoken by the feel of Mikayla working to gently climb out of his embrace. He shifted slightly to make it easier for her even as he opened one reptilian eye to regard her.? "I had the most extraordinary dream, Mikayla," he murmured, his voice deep and rich.? "You were in it.? At least, I think you were.? That or someone who seemed a lot like you."?
When the girl had stepped onto the floor of the chamber, The Dragon looked around himself, at where the wreckage of the furniture still lay strewn about.? "I fear I have made Angus's next few weeks rather busy ones with all the things he'll need to rebuild." He looked back to Mikayla with concern.? "I did not injure you, I hope."
