Katya gave Ashton a smile, "no, I do not need to tell you about my business.? I can assure you that there are no humans being trafficked out of my warehouses.? As Angelo said, he tipped everyone off at the docks.? Not just my business.? So the humans are being moved through someone elses."? She gave him a sigh as they started to drive away.? She knew he wouldn't understand her business.? It was a vampire business, not a human trafficking business.

Then he through out the words trust.? "Really, trust.? You don't trust me?? Seems we both have some secrets and well, that is part of life, especially ours."? She didn't say anything else, just watched out the window as they drove to their apartment.

¡°You don¡¯t trust me?? I am guardian of the city now too.? I need to know what is going on in it.? Surely you don¡¯t want me killin¡¯ someone that works for you?¡±? He wasn¡¯t trying to get completely to her business, but too many secrets between was surely a bed of distrust was bound to put a wedge between them and even he didn¡¯t want that now that they had finally after all this time decided to truly commit to one another.
¡°So, you wanna share secrets or you wanna be mad at one another and have this fight?!? I love you Katya.? I always have, yes I am a jealous ignorant clod at times but I admit my faults.? You could be with anyone, but you chose me and I chose you.? I don¡¯t want this to be what pulls us apart.? I am willing to open up¡are you?¡± He put it out there not sure how she was going to accept his truth but he knew he was bold enough to love her period.

Katya thought before she spoke, she wanted to make sure she didn't need a reason to get out of the car.? "First, I love you, too.? Now, don't answer a question with a question.? As to having a fight, I have no idea why you think we are fighting.? I am not fighting with you.? I just have my secrets that I want to keep.? I have a different life when I am not with you, I have a business I have been running for decades on my own and am going to keep it that way.? As for you killing someone who works for me, they are all vampires, so unless you remove their heads or hearts, they will recover."
At that point they had arrived home and pulled into the garage, "now, I am going to go and take a shower, alone, and get that ghoul off of me.? I suggest you take some time to cool off since you think we are having a fight, when we are not."? Her tone remained calm the entire time she was talking and when she exited the car, she made sure to not slam the door.
