Anais frowned at the woman. "My name is Evangelise. Two of my brothers call me Evie. So, Evie is indeed my name. Maybe you should take the time to do more extensive research on your prey. But then again, as I am just?a pawn in this whole charade, I doubt it really matters does it."
Anais watched her as she walked to the door. When it opened she tried to peer out onto the other side as much as she could. Quietly, she listened to the woman say?Draven was in Paris.??
Hesitantly she took the box. ?Anais frowned as she looked inside the box,?examined the items that the woman gave her?Anais frowned deepened and her fingers clutched the journal so tight her knuckles turned white. Smoothly Anais stood and threw the entire box, journal and all in the hearth.
Then she turned to the woman but she did not move. ¡°I pray we are done with these theatrics. What did you hope giving me that would do? Make me cry and pine for him. I care not about the deeds, days, and of Lord Draven Phillips. What I do care about is your endgame. So if the only Reason why I am here is to bring Draven to you, then please bring me pen and paper so that you can notified the poor distressed man pining so desperately for his lost betrothed just how close I am so that he can come to you and I can be on my way.¡±
(Chantel) When Anais said something about her name, Chantel simply nodded. She wasn't going to argue anymore with the lady about it, and simply asked, "what name do you wish to be addressed by here?"
She watched Anais' reactions to the photos and the journal and was not surprised by her throwing them into the fire. With a shrug she said, "just wanted you to know was all. Not trying to do anything. As for penning him, I can suggest it to Vincent. I am going to leave you for now. Do you wish for me to remove the tray of food?"
