When he spoke as though he knew her, she suddenly became thoughtful. ¡°They told you about me? How odd. Angus didn¡¯t mention you. Did you only just arrive?¡± She asked. Then suddenly he gripped her shoulder so painfully. ¡°Sir...you are hurting me.¡±
It was the Painful wail of his ¡°no¡± that made her turn to him.?Mikayla gasped. ¡°You are...¡± she watched confused as he faded. His body twisting shifting.?
She woke up sitting straight up in her bed. Blinking back her confusion. Why would she dream that? It felt so real...
The roar shocked her...worried her.?before Mikayla could stop herself, she was up and running toward his chamber, rushing up the tower stairs the hurting inside ¡°are you okay?¡±
(The Dragon, Angus)
The Dragon was sprawled across the top of his marble dais, a grotesque reptilian portrait of pain and misery, wings drooping listlessly, glistening tears collecting beneath his eye ridges.? ?Around him were strewn the remnants of freshly-wrecked furniture, shattered wood and ripped upholstery with scattered bits of stuffing all about. The Dragon didn't notice the girl when she entered his chamber, but when she spoke he seemed to shrink slightly, curling himself up tighter as he turned away from her.
"It was a dream," he rumbled, his voice heavy with disappointment and despondency. "Just a dream.? I... I dreamed I was human again.? It seemed so _real_."? He fell silent for a long moment, then turned his head back to look at Mikayla in puzzlement.? "There was a woman.? She seemed familiar.? It might've been you, and yet it wasn't you.? Not at first."? He closed his eyes and sighed.? "It was just a dream.? It means nothing.? Nothing at all."
Angus came into the room, looking like he'd dressed in a hurry, nightshirt tucked into his pants and hair all disheveled.? He saw Mikayla standing there and moved quickly to her side.? "What happened?" he asked in a whisper.? "I heard a disturbance and came as quickly as I could.? Is the Master alright?"
