Nicolete watched the man before her. How he listened to her words. How he paid attention to what she said. It gave her insight into the kind of man he was.
Nicolete also placed her drink down upon the bar. Her deep brown eyes settling on his, looking him unwaveringly in the eyes. At his questions, she shrugged her shoulders ¡°My feelings about each species¡¯?places in the circle of life is quite moot. There are those of every species that line up along various sides of the equation. I am more interested in the motivations of those around me. For instance why it is the the infamous Lord Draven has arrived here in Europe rather than spend his time home with his new betrothed?¡±

Just as Nicolete asked the question a waltz began to play, "I see, well, I am interested to know what you truly feel for the human kind." He said as he swooped his arm around her waist, took her hand in his and twirled them onto the dance floor, once again avoiding the question of his betrothed.? "What would happen if the Duke or Prince did indeed find out I was here in Paris?"? He asked her with a smile as they moved to the music.
