"Could someone try'n get into the club and mean to h-hurt someone else here?"??Rabbit chewed his lip as he pondered the elf's question.? The little vampire snuggled comfortably against his lover, soaking up all the warmth and affection he could get.? "It's possible, maybe?? If they're r-really tricky or, you know, good with magic or mind-powers or stuff?? I mean, there h-have been a few, uhm, you know, incidents over the years.? But the club's pretty good at handlin' stuff like that.? It's got all kinds of p-protections.? And protectors."? He went quiet for a moment, not quite meeting Roue's gaze.? "I h-hope you never have to s-see any of them in action."
"Like I said," Rabbit went on to Roue's next question, "I ain' got m-much else to use for currency here. But it's not just my body.? I mean, it ain' just sex.? Sometimes it's other things.? Like, uhm, me bein' a, you know, vampire."? His voice dropped a bit as he whispered the last word.? "Sometimes people _want_ me to feed on them.? Just to see what it's like.? And sometimes it's other stuff.? Really w-weird stuff, sometimes.? Like this last one." He hesitated, eyeing his lover uncertainly for a moment before finally continuing.? "She wanted to do a p-paintin' of me.? But I had to wear what she w-wanted me to wear while I was sittin' for it."? He fidgeted awkwardly beneath Roue's comforting warmth.? "It was embarrassin'. And she l-liked that it was embarrassin'."
"Be careful," the little vampire cautioned when his lover offered to help pay for his latest quest for information.? "I think I know what she's gonna w-want.? You oughta w-wait until you know before you, you know, make any promises."
Lowering his voice again, Rabbit whispered "There's four people from that place you come from tryin' to find you.? They've figured out that you've somehow left Midgard and ended up, you know, here.? But so far they can't find a door to get here. Not yet, anyways."? Reaching down, the slender youth took Roue's hand in his and brought it up to his mouth where he licked and nibbled absently on his lover's fingers.? "Three of 'em just wanna f-find you and take you back h-home.? But one of 'em wants to... to make sure you _never_ get back home.? N-not alive, anyways."? He released Roue's fingers and looked up apologetically.? "S-sorry.? I d-do that sometimes when I get n-nervous."

"So they are aware of this place now...then it's only a matter of time," Roue said, biting his lip as he looked at his lover.? "I wonder if my parents know one of them is after my life.? Do they even care? *sigh* The one that tried to kill me, he was the one whose knife had grazed me...? It must've been coated with poison.? Even now it makes me feel sick just thinking about it."? How little worth was he alive that one of his assailants chose to go after his own life?? Not something he wanted to go back to find out, so perhaps it would be best for him to just wait it out.? Plus, with the discovery of this place and the many world that it could take him to?? ? Worth exploring, even just a bit.
"So, tell me, Rabbit, what is this requester going to need of me?" Roue asked, flipping onto his side as he crawled Rabbit's head within the crook of his arm.? He was lazily running his hand through the little vampire's hair, brushing it back , getting all the hairs out of the way.? Staring into his eyes, studying all the little inflections in his perfect, pale skin, the curve of his neck as it joined his shoulders, how his Adam's apple moved when he spoke.? Rabbit being a vampire was fascinating to him, wondering how an undead being like him could exist.? There were no beings like that in his world, only abilities that allowed one to leech life but it didn't make anyone less alive.? "Is this the same person who likes to paint?? Is she going to want to do that with me also?"
He was about to lean down, wanting to kiss Rabbit but the youthful vampire grabbed his hand that was previously tangled in his hair, and started sucking on his fingers.? Nervous or not, it sent a pleasurable shiver through his body until Rabbit noticed that he was doing that and released his fingers.? The elf took his lover's hand into his own, pleating their fingers together as he brought it to his lips and gingerly kissed each knuckle, looking into the other's eyes, his gaze unwavering.??
"Is it wrong to admit that I feel jealous that others get to have you in that way?" he murmured, dragging Rabbit's cool hand against his cheek.? "We've only just met but for some reason I feel drawn to you.? Does a vampire always captivate his prey like that, or is it just me?"
